About WG Rooms in Germany

WG Rooms in Germany is a search index for shared-flat (WG) rooms in Berlin. We watch a handful of public Telegram channels and Facebook groups where landlords and current tenants post available rooms, and we surface the listings in one place so you can stop refreshing five different chats at 8am.

The free tier sends you an email digest every hour with new rooms matching the district and budget you set when you subscribed. The premium tier — currently a waitlist — sends a push within 60 seconds of a matching post being indexed, which is usually well before the same listing reaches anyone else's inbox.

We do not host any rooms ourselves and we do not collect commissions, agency fees or introduction fees. Every listing links back to the original post on the source channel, and that is the only path through which a renter contacts the lister. We never see the landlord's name, phone number or email address, and we never store them.

The pipeline is mechanical. A worker polls the public sources on a short interval, runs the raw post text through an extractor that pulls out structured fields (district, warm rent, room size, move-in date, furnished/anmeldung flags), de-duplicates against what we have already seen, and publishes the result. High-confidence extractions auto-publish; the rest sit in a review queue. From there, the alert worker matches new posts against subscriber filters and dispatches.

This is a one-person operation built in the open. There is no sales team, no growth team and no investor deck. The goals are to be useful, to be honest about what we store, and to keep the cost of running it covered by a small premium tier rather than by ads or affiliate deals.

Questions or corrections? The repo and contact link live in the footer. If you spot a listing that should be taken down, flag it from the listing page and we'll act within a business day.
